Third allotment report
When people work together with a vision and passion, a momentum of its own is created. I had a plan for my allotment in the first year was to start a mini food forest, raised beds wild life pond and shed. With Dave and John taking over the allotment next to mine we have developed a and implemented many projects a soft fruit area open ground planning bed a large shed and a poly tunnel with materials for a chicken run for the next. Not all of the practices are true permaculture i.e. the open ground planting area is an area that John and Dave want to pursue it will be an interesting comparison in yield versus input when compared with the raised beds.
This work has been completed in 11 weeks; working together, we have completed more than a whole year’s work for 1 person. The nature, scale, and speed of this project have changed so I will update the plans and time lines. The poly tunnel was the largest single project and a group of friends helped with the building this will now be project no 5.
