school introducton permaculture course 2011-12 over view
......
The school permaculture project is a part of the long term plan for teach permaculture in schools, it came about as a part of the Duke of Edinburgh's award scheme which I volunteer as a safety officer. Students have a range of modules to complete including a service and as the school allotment is unused, the idea was born to teach an introduction to permaculture short course. An introductory talk was given and a small group of students are keen to take the course. The site staff and teachers have been helpful, the ground has been prepared for winter with recycled card board and leaf mould the students with start again when the clocks change in spring, as they need the daylight to work.
